In the lunchroom, you can do the following to help:
Always encourage students to follow the Grizzly Way: Ready to Learn, Safe Each Day and Kind To All!Give students golden lunchroom paw-sitives when they are doing the right thing in the lunchroom!Paw-sitives can be earned for things like staying seated, waiting quietly, picking up trash, etc.
Remind students to stay in their seats until they are dismissed, by table, to lunch.
Allow students to use the bathroom passes to go to the bathroom during lunch, 1 student at a time.
Help students open lunch packages – prompt them to raise their hands and ask for help.
Report any difficulties to a staff member.
At recess, you can do the following to help:
Teach students to play organized games at recess!
Monitor soccer out on the field.Should be no-contact.
Monitor basketball.Should be no-contact.
Make sure students are following the rules of the games during recess.
Stop any students you see that are being physical with each other – students need to keep hands to self.
Help students solve conflicts with peers at recess.
