GRANT PROGRAM

Our Grant Program gives money directly to our teachers, staff and school to use as needed. PTSA provides several generous grants- Classroom Grants for each Classroom Teacher, Grade Level Grants for each grade, grants for our Specialists and SPED programs as well as grants for Music, Library, PE, Choir, outdoor enhancements, field trips and assemblies. 

Last year we were able to honor our commitment to donate a very special grant to our Special Education Department. Back in the days before COVID, the 2018-2019 LYPTSA raised over $6,000 for our wonderful Special Education classrooms! Thanks to all those who participated in the LYPTSA Auction "Raise The Paddle" event, 3 years later, we finally got to hand it off! 

Sue Hudgens worked with the rest of her colleagues to come up with a huge list of tools and resources to buy with the money donated by our wonderful Lake Youngs families... And the best part? She ended up being able to purchase resources that will be utilized in ALL Lake Youngs classrooms, like sensory tools and quality noise reduction headphones!
